This beautiful Agave has its roots in Mexico, but our variegated form has been a collector’s plant in Japan for years. Thought to be a new, un-described species or a possible new hybrid, we’re happy to take it at face value for all of its fine attributes. The contrast of reddish-brown thorns against a wide cream margin is simply breathtaking on this soft, blue-green variegated Agave. As it gets older, it makes a rounded specimen to at least a foot across and tall. It is great used as an architectural element in your garden, or in colder regions as a container plant. Needs well-drained soil and bright light; for best success allow the plant to dry out before watering and keep it cool and dry in the winter.
